Frenchy Who?

My loves: food, family, life, and laughter.

My hates: anything to do with feet, smoking, invasion of my personal space and laundry.

Life currently includes one cat, one senior dog, one forever puppy who just won’t grow up.   I can’t tell a joke to save my life, but sometimes I try anyway.  I idolize my 80 something year old Grandpa because he still doesn’t know what he wants to be when he grows up, and neither do I.  The last three years of my life have included marriage, a masters degree, lots of volunteerism, a 300 mile move, purchase of our first home, and endless home improvement projects.  My answer to the question “what do you do” has been “I’m gainfully unemployed.”

I enjoy photography, and bring my camera with me on life’s little adventures. Before I started in the kitchen, I had my nose in a book.  Now, as an adult I spend a little less time reading and more time cooking- simply out of necessity.  But I still make time to read.

This is not a french blog.  I am not french.  I am an enthusiastic optimist who gets lost in her own neighborhood (true story) and then laughs about it.  I laugh at everything, especially myself.  I excel at re-arranging letters to create nonsensical phrases, like frenchy salt fries.

And did I mention I try to lead a dairy free life? You’ll notice a distinct lack of dairy in my recipes. Try them, you’ll be popular!  And you probably won’t notice the lack of dairy.

Thanks for stopping by,

-Frenchy
